CBSE Class 12 board exams 2021 cancelled. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the high level meeting on Tuesday decided to cancel the class 12 board exams keeping the student’s safety in consideration.

- results made as per a well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner. This is much like the decision took in April for the CBSE Class 10 board exams 2021.
- PM Modi said “In the interest of students this decision is taken. Because of the unpredictable situations created by the pandemic.”.
- He further stated that ” COVID-19 has affected the academic calendar. The issue of Board Exams causing immense anxiety among students, parents and teachers. Hence this must end. He also added “all stakeholders need to show sensitivity for students”. This decision took place during a review meeting held on Tuesday 5.30pm.
Gerry Arathoon, chief executive, CISCE, told The Indian Express that the Class 12 students will now be evaluated through an alternative scheme. The Chief Executive said “details to be worked out soon”. The Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has scrapped its ISC examination for this year.
The postponed Class 12 exams now stand cancelled. CBSE released an official statement. It also reads “students not satisfied with the assessment have an option to appear in the exam. They can appear as and when the situation becomes conducive”.
